- Initial Situation/Challenge:
The offer concerns e-learning training for vocational education teachers employed in schools providing vocational training. The training should enhance the competencies or qualifications related to their taught profession and cover the area of using AI in the vocational education process.
- Implementation Method:
As a result of consultations with a lead trainer—an expert in the practical application of AI—four-hour training modules were prepared and conducted online:
- Generative Artificial Intelligence – basic concepts
- Everyday tool landscape: Chat-GPT, DALL·E 2
- Principles of prompting
- Approach to task creation: questing (QUEST method)
- Connectivism and incorporating Chat-GPT into lesson plans
- Designing knowledge assessments with generative AI
- How to check if an essay is plagiarized?
- Why is critical thinking becoming a skill of the future?
Demonstration: Generating tests/tasks using generative artificial intelligence tools
- Generative AI “gadgets”: Midjourney, Writesonic etc.
- Building technological agency – how to develop our students’ creativity in the era of algorithms and Chat-GPT?
- Low-code solutions – providing practical materials for self-learning low-code tools
As a result of our collaboration with the organization, hundreds of vocational teachers were trained. After the training, they began using artificial intelligence both for substantively preparing lessons, enhancing their form for students, and creating knowledge tests. Teachers learned how their students use AI daily and how it affects the ability to assess learning progress.
