Fifty middle managers at Poczta Polska are starting “Future Leaders in a Digital World”, a development programme delivered in partnership with Kozminski University. The programme focuses on developing the skills needed to guide teams through change, manage projects, and make decisions using data and modern digital tools.

Introducing new technologies involves everyday management decisions: how to explain the purpose of a change to a team, prepare employees for new tasks, set priorities, and assess results. These are the challenges addressed by the programme designed for Poczta Polska’s managers. It combines leadership development with a practical approach to organisational change and the leader’s responsibility for implementing it effectively.

“Middle managers play a crucial role in an organisation as large and complex as Poczta Polska. Every day, they translate the company’s direction into specific tasks, decisions, and ways of working within their teams. We want them to be well prepared for this role: able to communicate goals clearly, build engagement, make sound decisions, and effectively support their employees through change. The programme delivered jointly with Kozminski University is an investment in precisely these skills,” emphasises Paweł Pastuła, Director of the Employee Training and Development Office at Poczta Polska.

The programme comprises eight modules that will allow participants to explore management from several complementary perspectives, from their own leadership style to teamwork, collaboration across the organisation and the use of technology and data.

Managers will strengthen their ability to communicate expectations clearly, delegate tasks and build engagement and trust. They will also work on handling difficult conversations, resolving conflicts and improving the flow of information between teams.

Project management will be an important part of the programme, covering everything from defining objectives and planning resources to working with those involved in delivery, monitoring progress and responding to risks. Participants will explore how to translate organisational goals into specific tasks, establish clear responsibilities, and maintain continuity during periods of change.

Technology topics will be linked to management practice. The programme includes assessing readiness for digital change within participants’ areas of responsibility, selecting solutions that support their teams’ work and measuring the results of implementation.

During sessions on decisions based on data, participants will develop their ability to interpret indicators, assess information quality and critically evaluate conclusions. They will also explore the capabilities and limitations of artificial intelligence in data analysis, communication, and work organisation, with attention to managers’ responsibility for the decisions they make.

Lectures, workshops and practical sessions will be complemented by individual and group consultations.

“In management education, our starting point is the situations participants face within their organisations. That is why the programme for Poczta Polska combines work on leadership, communication, and team engagement with the use of data and technology. During workshops and consultations, managers will be able to examine their own decisions, practise different approaches, and develop solutions to apply at work. This is how we understand the University’s role: helping people translate knowledge into informed management practice,” emphasises Klaudia Fatah, Director of Corporate Training and Programmes at Kozminski University.

The launch of the programme marks the next stage of cooperation between Kozminski University and Poczta Polska in developing its management team. The management education developed through this partnership is designed to support those responsible for their teams’ daily operations, the delivery of business objectives and the implementation of change in an organisation that plays an important role in Poland’s postal, logistics and digital services.
